Privacy Policy

SeoHive (operated by Rami Mamar, contact [email protected]) builds and runs the SeoHive software-as-a-service platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
1. What we collect
When you use SeoHive we collect:
- Account data: email address, name (if provided via Google sign-in), Stripe customer ID.
- Site data you provide: the URL of your website, vertical/industry description, brand voice notes, and (optionally) WordPress application passwords or other CMS credentials. CMS credentials are encrypted at rest.
- Audit data we generate: technical SEO scans, page snapshots, keyword research results, AI citation probes, and generated articles based on your site.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe. We never store your card number. Stripe sends us subscription status, plan, and period end dates.
- Usage logs: server access logs (IP address, user-agent, request paths) for security and operations. Retained 30 days.
2. Third parties we share data with
SeoHive relies on these subprocessors to deliver the service:
- Stripe: payment processing. stripe.com/privacy
- Resend: transactional email delivery (welcome, article-ready, trial-ending). resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Anthropic: AI model inference for article drafting and audit narration. anthropic.com/privacy
- DataForSEO: keyword research, SERP data, technical SEO scans. dataforseo.com/privacy-policy
- Cloudflare: DNS, CDN, email routing for [email protected]. cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Google: OAuth sign-in (we receive only your email + profile name).
- OVHcloud (via Coolify): application hosting + Postgres database. us.ovhcloud.com/legal/privacy-policy
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share data for advertising. Subprocessor list is updated when subprocessors change.
3. How we use your data
- To run the SEO/GEO audit, generate articles, and publish them to your connected CMS
- To send transactional emails (welcome, article-ready, trial-ending, billing)
- To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
- To improve the product (aggregated, non-identifiable metrics)
We do not use your articles or site content to train AI models. Our AI model providers (Anthropic) operate under data processing agreements that prohibit training on customer inputs.
4. Data retention
- Account data: kept while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion request.
- Generated articles + audit results: kept while your account is active. Exported on request.
- Server access logs: 30 days.
- Stripe billing records: retained per Stripe's legal requirements (typically 7 years).
5. Your rights
You can:
- Access, export, or delete your data. Email [email protected].
- Cancel your subscription anytime from the billing portal (Stripe).
- Revoke Google OAuth access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
If you are in the EU/UK/CA, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK-GDPR/PIPEDA respectively. Email us to exercise them.
6. Security
Customer data is stored on managed PostgreSQL with at-rest encryption. CMS credentials use a separate encrypted column. TLS 1.2+ in transit. Production access is restricted to the founder and audit-logged.
We are a small team. If a breach occurs we will notify affected customers within 72 hours by email and disclose what was accessed.
7. Children
SeoHive is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
8. Cookies
We use first-party session cookies for authentication and CSRF protection. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We will email all active customers and post a banner here at least 14 days before any material change takes effect.
